Implementation of the project
Local Administrative Organizations play an important role in tourism management in accordance with the Sustainable Tourism Management Standard (STMS). Developed in a sustainable way, tourism management standard has been promoted to Local Administrative Organizations in the Designated Areas of DASTA. The implementation of the STMS has been widely disseminated.
Output
1. Local Administrative Organizations which have participated in the process of STMS would learn and be able to follow STMS.
2. Local Administrative Organizations which have followed the STMS would be able to track the continuity of the implementation in line with STMS.
3. Local Administrative Organizations which have followed the STMS would receive an opportunity to exchange experiences in different aspects of STMS.
Outcome
1. Local Administrative Organizations would be able to manage the tourist attractions in their areas according to STMS, leading to sustainability of tourism sector.
2. Local Administrative Organizations would become aware of the importance and values of tourism management following STMS, and would recognize the benefit of applying STMS in the organization.
Achievement
1. Local Administrative Organizations would be able to manage tourism according to STMS. Also, tourist attractions would develop in a sustainable way.
2. All stakeholders would become aware of the importance of tourism management and consider to follow the guidelines of STMS.
3. Tourist attractions would be more recognized in Thailand and foreign countries.
